RIVER OF NIGHT (2006)
I fell asleep on filth and grime
Descending beneath my dirty life
Into a vile place of foreboding fright
Twas the bottomless river of night
Flowing with the shadows of lies
I sank into the malicious spite
Truth opened the ominous door of lies
Into a darker room of a thousand cries
Now blind, memories were my guide
An eternal, personal, divergent strife
Not a single star in that terrible sky
To see the endless river of shit and flies
Where you drown forever, but never die
But alas! In the sinister dark something shined
Kissed by an amorous father of light
Oh what a bright savior in flight
For I was whisked away like an electric kite
Away from the darkened shadows of lies
Oh bright savior! What brilliant colors in sight!
How I fly and awake with you!

CHRISTERRORISMAS (2006)
Short bus, Greyhound
I ride alone
Airline, Flat line,
Christerrorismas

Bin Laden and Cupid...
Osama and Blitzen
Killing one sinner
Won't bring back that center

On line spelling bee...
Headed: A head of myself

That mouth open
Does it speak?
No! Kiss me!
Missile toe tag!

Does it eat?
Ketchup and mustard gas
On a chili grease gun!

If I rub Bin Laden's lamp
Will Allah help me find him?

Time flies better than firemen
As all the reindeer pilots
Follow Rudolph into history

High jack, high jump
Heigh ho, let it snow
It's down ground Julie zero!

FOSSIL OF BELIEF (2006)
Beauty exists within a dream: a fossil of belief
Revealing truth: our reasoned path; beyond ambiguity
In thought, we shut our eyes and dream:
Reflections of the mind
Identity: a hidden truth, uncertain and sublime
Imagine re-invention; purified morality
Beauty of reflection now enhances every scene
Extinct in form; I smile in death;
Yet thrive in truth that breathes
Judgment within a mind reveals the semblance of a key
Consider this, a single need: nature's truth succeeds
A converging absolute relief: an objective victory.
Shall I consider again, objective denial: art's true end?
Purely with nature, and wholly agreed:
Harmony persists after the mind's decease
Enlightened with stars, and eternally pleased,
One question persists: why the beauty?
Overwhelming joy assumes our thought: a fleeting entity.
In space, our reason understood, in its entirety
Endless measure hath relinquished the blind objectivity;
Our minds now transcend above a perceived slavery.
Within a peaceful and sublime, subjective, divinity;
Our minds eternally enamor reason thus received;
The purest truth, the endless search: a deep ambiguity:
Resolved in a reflective art: an infinite beauty

PRAISE TO THE SUN (2007)
The sun is wonderfully strange;
She is compellingly moving.
She merges light with delight,
And nature with sight.
She evokes purpose, happiness,
And peace within me.
She gives me an awakening to nature.
She transcends the insipidity of life,
giving rise to an abstruse,
yet, prolific dream.
It is thought at its most miraculous.
When she greets me in the morning,
all seems right.
She is spiritual evolution.
She is within me,
yet distant and alone.
She gives us
the possibility of infinity.
when she cries...
She hides behind
a mask of dark clouds.
Sometimes, I cry...
with a beam of fresh light,
she dries my eyes.
I need her,
as well as she needs me.
Who else in the galaxy
is she going to feed?
She's our mother,
the answer to many questions.
I sleep beneath her nurture...
Beneath her sublime divinity,
the world is friendly,
Her gift of sight
resembles rainbows,
and graceful birds in flight.
Even my memories glitter with
her golden light.
Her kiss imbues me with a love
for every walk of life.
Harmony persists long after
she has set beyond my sight.
She enhances every thought.
Her pure light reminds me
of the world's divinity:
both wisdom and love.
As I exist beneath her light,
she exists above my life.
Together, we rise
and begin a new day,
Both brightening every moment.

ALL WORK AND NO... (2005)
Bzzzzzz!
Bzzzzzz!
Is there anything for me?
I need a Buzzzzzz...
I'm a fucking worker bee!

MAGIC CANDLES (2005)
Five candles burned
Three black, white red
Someone saw a demon
Now someone is dead

Four candles burned
Three black and one white
Someone looked in a mirror
Now someone has died

Three candles burned
Three black as your soul
You were the demon
And the candles already know

PLUTO'S ARCADE (2005)
On my visit to Pluto
I played a video game
Took a picture of Neptune
And a something...I forget the name

On my visit to Pluto
I tested the rocks and the air
Searched the entire planet for life
And stumbled upon an alien's lair

On my visit to Pluto
I played a video game
Away from the Earth, cities and cars
Sun, heat and hot flames

CRUSH CITY (2005)
Your personality glitters
With the radiance of golden flames
The most serene day in life...
Endless peace and no refrain
A spellbinding message from heaven
From my most poignant dream
Uncertainty in Crush City...
This really is not as true as it seems

THE MOMENT'S TOUCH (2006)
The fur coat accentuated her elegance
And after all the attempts to subsist desire
Bid her lover a fervent, swift farewell
The heat of the moment's touch
Now a wilted winter's flower

SOMETIMES THE BEST LIES WITHIN (2006)
Sometimes, the best lies within
The sleep we'd like to dream
A greeting to the unacquainted
Illiterate taught to read

Sometimes, the best lies within
The crying, bleeding, and dread
A hopeless mirage of insidious death
A bandage broken red

Sometimes the best lies within
The love for life and smiles
In a world of careless grins and stars
far beyond time: sublime we recognize

WAYNE (2006)
Money was never an issue with you
And upon this earth
Most never knew
A world is better off with no sun
In a galaxy
Not yet formed
For the living mind is spawned
With deformity
Through heat, hate,
And illusions at stake
And the dead don't speak at all

FOR A PAUCITY OF A LIFE (2006)
For a paucity of a life
A million stars shine confident
Secured by nameless lights

For a paucity of a life
A million eyes gape satisfied
Endless night and dreams of sight

For a paucity of a life
They welcome my presence
Light now friends in flight
Flying with presents in delight
For a paucity of a life

LITTLE MISS ATOMS (2006)
Little Miss Atoms
Seeks luxury within
Fantastic memories
Oh bliss...

Little Miss Atoms
Hath traveled to heaven
And Burrowed in paradise
Oh bliss...

MOONBEAM (2006)
Simple as a moon beam
Complicated as its significance
You...profound beauty
Enchanting allurement
An inspiration for the poet within myself

BURNING MIND (`2006)
Like a hay barn
Burning in my mind
Enthused red flames
Inspire the sky
A shine, a glow
A rage of fire

Like a hay barn burning
Burning, bright
Bursting in, and blazing up
Floating ashes radiate the night
Downward in a liberation of time
If a tear would dismiss the flames
I'd cry
Or unleash a little burning lie

FORTY HOURS (2006)
I worked forty hours
I made money, money, money
I worked forty years
I wasted time, time, time

I spent all the money, money, money
Oh! If only I could buy my time back
How much do you need?
I'll give you forty cents
To walk into the cold

AND IN THE END, THERE WAS NEVER REST (2006)
Never shall I sleep again
Nor shall I rest with dreams again
Until the fossils of the past
Evoke belief in you again
Revealing our truths:
Our reasoned paths
Beyond the ambiguities of thought
Closing eyes strive to see
A proved role of the mind: our identity
The hidden truth lies beneath all uncertainties

Never shall I love again
Nor attempt to imagine inventing you again
Whom adored and cared
The whisk of me by earthly things
Acknowledging every subtlety
Extinct in form, I gasp unseen
Yet it is thought that truly breathes
Purpose back into the minds now freed
An idea, an Answer, a single key
Consider this: Life's only need
To believe the idea that nature's truth will succeed
Convergence with everything thought or perceived
Reveals absolution: a worldly victory

Never shall I consider again
Nor compare Life's death with disease again
We exist purely with nature, and wholly agree
Mind's harmony persists after all is deceased
Enlightened with the stars, and eternally pleased
Only question existing why we ever doubted peace
As overwhelming joy assumes our fleeting entities
In space, our reason understood in its intriguing entirety
An endless measure of purpose hath relinquished slavery
Reason always rested within us; transcending earth now free
Divinity thus received, is resolved infinity

BROKEN PADDLE (2006)
Stars above the earth
People beneath the clouds
Boats beneath the ocean
Fishes above the waves
Broken paddle floating
Floats with doggy paddles

Education is Hypothetical
In regards to my own education, I cannot approach the thought, or consciousness of being uneducated; put simply, I exist...in perfection of thought, without social conformity, without counting dollar bills that disease the mind with false identities. I exist as evident intelligence or whatever contrived word the system will label me. I enjoy myself or I do not enjoy myself: these thoughts have significance in this life. How to deduce a symbol... or dot an "I"... or drive a machine; these are methods that have buried themselves in society; not for any truly significant conception or realization, but as "tools of leisure" that, in fact, limit experience.
Cognizance is the knowledge or principle that is necessary (why we are born with it), and education of proposed purposes and questioned relevancies are therefore unnecessary, and unnatural. If my mother had chosen to give birth to me in a jungle, or desert, or outer space...and I never encountered systematic society, my cognizance would remain unscathed, or perhaps, more refined: . I would serve as a true symbol of conscious freedom. Indeed, words would be ineffable, yet I never would have seen those TV shows; ultimately reversing, or pausing time watching re-runs or learning insignificant data that education supplies us with, using society as its vehicle for a "relevance" Perhaps chaos, laws, and order would have ceased , or be required to exist if education had never been conceived.

THE POETRY OF JONAS SNOW

I AM MADE OF ALTERED ATOMS (1997)
There's not anything left to learn
I am made of atoms altered
We travel slowly
Into the future everyday
Space and time travel are the same
Could we return to the past and change?

SLEEP TALK (1997)
And he said to me
This music is hallucinogenic
The neighbor sleeps, and burns in the blue

BENEATH THE FAUCET (1997)
People can hide it
Beneath the faucet
Please:
We need somewhere
Wash it all down the drain

MAN FROM VENUS (1997)
Man from Venus
Walks our streets
Venusian seed
Deep inside
Down inside
Must return home after fertility
Home Venus
Deep inside
Down inside
Relish the joy of abnormality

SLUGS (1998)
Salt will save us
Slugs we all are

ANOTHER DAY (1998)
I wanted us to be a tiny delight
I hoped our link would work
And become tight
Screw the beer
Now you are my best friend
Bound together
Until the very end
Another day
Lies were all you would say

CRAZY LADY (1998)
Visits their grave every day
Family tree nothing but death
Visits their grave every day
Family tree nothing but twigs
Crazy Lady

PRICE TAG ON AN EMOTIONLESS FACE (1998)
I like your hair
One in the world
Why do you care?
Which way lips curl

Little girl
Expressionless
Animal
Like the rest

I'll check the tag
On an emotionless face
I'll pay the price
To be like the rest

SANDS OF THE SEA (2004)
1. WOODEN TABLE
In the dark, there is a wooden table.
They sat in front of empty Plates.
Their shadows danced on the sand like lovers.
It is love that lingers like frowns around this table.
She danced to his music while sinking.
It stares in the dark.
Staring at what it built, it screams.
The wooden table might hear.

2. ILLUSIONS OF LEGS
She is wrapped like a scarf.
She can hear me think in a silent cabbage patch.
It is empty.
Stars shine in the dark.
Illusions of beautiful legs appear to dance.
A movie of birth was the gift from Hollywood.
In the end, the softest music played for an undisturbed slumber.
These are mere standards of a dying love.

3. STEPPED ON
I was stepped on. Did you hear me?
In your head, his music was too overwhelming.
I am now hollow and empty.
You were like a child running with a kite: a selfish dance.
You never bothered looking at what you stepped on.
Can you sense me in the dark?

4. CUPCAKE
He met my baby by the sea.
The water was cold and dark.
Twas once full of laughter.
Tis now empty.
I became thunder drawn to a rain dance.
He melted like sugar on a cupcake.
I can still hear the drooling and crouching, like a baby in a pouch.
Where is love?
Resting beneath an old star, she was very susceptible to his music.

5. BED OF GOLD
They sank on a bed of gold.
They listened to the cold water's music,
And found beauty at the bottom.
They walked in the dark, murky world of golden sand.
Found empty eggs in an emerald nest.
They made love, and choked, on a bed of gold.
It can hear.
They fell asleep fifty years ago.
They still dance.

6. SANDS OF THE SEA
Upon the sands of the sea they dance.
They were led into the rocks, and in from the sea.
The thrashing waves were music in their ears.
Fate is a tune one rarely may hear.
She pondered: "Is it a mirror reflecting images in the dark?"
The reflection in the dark mirror was me.
Light from a fish's eyes could be seen,
Like love from below arising from the deep;
A reminder of a lighthouse they could not see: Empty.

7. WOODEN TABLE II.
There is a wooden table.
The chairs are empty.
In the dark, I hear beautiful music.
A cold hand caresses the back of my neck: "I'd love to dance".

THE DANCING TREE (2005)
In a quiet forest
I sang of romance
A flower listened
A tree danced

Oh what romance it would be
If the tree were a she
And not merely me
Singing to myself

CARIBBEAN CHRISTMAS (2005)
Pin the donkey's tail on the hypothalamus
Stare at it
While I rake the crooked dirt

Wipe away those tears,
For it is Christmas in the Caribbean
Stare at it
While It grows straight in this

A FOOL THEY MAY THINK I BE (2005)
A fool they may think I be;
But the sweet foolishness they hear
Will set them free

WIPE AWAY (2005)
The Inevitable maze
Freshens the random rabbit
Bubble babble
Crabapple
Rabbit baby
Wipe away

RUBBER BAND (2005)
I played in a rubber band
I played a rubber fiddle
My friend played the rubber imagination
I may have called it `character'

FALLING PINE CONE (2005)
The pine cone falls
In my sight
The pine cone flies
In my mind
The pine cone falls
From an endless height
The pine cone falls and flies

SUPPOSED (2005)
My oh my
I'm much too shy
For you to stare at me
Oh why

Oh my oh my
I just might cry
A beauty like you
Looking into my eyes

Oh why oh why
Why it's three o' five
And the clock is behind me
Bye bye bye

SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN ASTRONAUTS
Upon marrying the prince, Snow White moved from the tiny cottage inhabited by the seven dwarves to an enormous castle and estate. The dwarves attended college, and all seven of them became astronauts. Before long, they were chanting "Heigh Ho Heigh Ho, its outer space we go!" Unfortunately, the captain of the ship was Sleepy, and their journey to the Big Dipper ended tragically as they crashed into the giant buckle of Orion's belt. In memory of the "Brave Little Seven", the planet Earth named a new constellation with seven stars after them and their journey: "The Little Dipper."
Meanwhile, the prince was crowned king following his father's mysterious suicide. ...and yes, the new queen was Snow White. She attended college, and the clever queen graduated into a professor. She used the king's power to create a new course at the University, and if you had attended Dr. White's class that eerie fall semester, you would have attended "Reflection 101". The class was very new and modern, yet noticeably bizarre. There were no books, writing, talking, or even listening. The students were instructed to arrive on time and sit at a desk, each one supporting a mirror. The syllabus stated quite frankly: "all students must stare at their reflection for the entirety of class." For those escaping to the restroom, the Queen Professor had extra mirrors installed in every urinal. Something was definitely strange throughout the land.
The evil queen's demise procured Snow White's status as "fairest of them all", and before long, the entire castle accumulated an assortment of mirrors. It wasn't long before the king began to notice a change in Snow White, an obsession with mirrors that escalated from vanity to madness. "Mirror, mirror, on the wall...who is the fairest of them all?" the Queen asked the bedroom mirror, surely the largest one in the castle. A semblance of shadows cascaded within the reflection: a darkened waterfall of many into one. From behind the looking glass arose the voice of enticed resurrection: "My fair queen, Tis you...whitest of the snow...the ruby leaf that steals the fall". The windows shook as if their own reflections were being imprisoned within the countless mirrors of the castle. "There is, alas, but one, more fair".
The following day, Reflection 101 met. On the blackboard, or chalk mirror, was written the word REFLECTION. Dr. White's desk mirror suddenly revealed reflections that glazed sullen and dusk, beckoning to a gloomy hue. A voice spoke from the dark mirror: "O fair queen I do so fear, that the fairest one in the land is here." The professor exclaimed: "Show me their reflection, magic mirror on the desk". The mirror clouded and exposed a familiar reflection. "How is he the fairest, for he is dead?" asked Snow White. Suddenly, fire shot down through the ceiling triggering the fire alarm. A loud engine on the ceiling stopped, as water began to spray down on the room. A gun suddenly poked Snow White in the back of her head. Snow White slowly turned around. A tiny man in a space suit lowered his gun, and removed his helmet. Snow White screamed in awe: "Sleepy! But how...how...?" "Your plot to kill us didn't go as you planned. The poison apples you gave us for the trip killed every dwarf but me...it would have worked, but I slept through lunch. Before I have my vengeance, do you have anything to say"? Snow White turned around, looking down at her reflection. "How are you the fairest in the land?" Sleepy cocked the gun... "Beauty sleep" he said, and then pulled the trigger seven times.
